Cow milk is much better than the other resources of milk due to its constituency and composition. While it is easier to digest cow milk, it is also beneficial for the regulatory health functions of the body and this why, clarified butter made from Cow milk is much beneficial than Ghee made from other sources.

Though passing hard stools with constraint happens to be the most common symptom of constipation, there are other ways the body can signal a disrupted excretory system as well. Some of the common ones are:

  • Passing hard and small stools
  • Feeling the stomach has not been emptied
  • Gastricconvulsions with pain
  • Hard and bloated stomach
  • Nausea and vomiting
  • Headaches
  • Pain and strain while passing stool
  • Loss of appetite

While these may be the commonly associated symptoms, there are numerous causes for constipation. Some of the common ones are:

  • Irritable Bowel Syndrome
  • Restricting stools due to pain
  • Haemorrhoids and Piles
  • Indigestion
  • Change in dietary habits
  • Lesser intake of water
  • Recent change in the lifestyle
  • Inadequate sleep

The best effective way to ease the condition is to consume a lot of water. In fact an additional three to four glasses should be consumed. Eating foods rich in fibre like coarse grains and Rye will help a lot. While the Clarified butter option is a preventive measure and works only if consumed regularly, for immediate relief from constipation, adding the following food to your diet will benefit you.

Normally just 35 grams of fibre is enough to maintain a healthy digestive system. Prolonged constipation causes other things in the later stages which are way more painful and discomforting than the basic problem.

Try eating more of:

  • Prunes
  • Rye Bread
  • Kiwis
  • Pears
  • Beans ( kidney, black, red or any other beans to suit your choice)
  • And Bananas

 Bananas are known to be associated with all stomach problems. Considered a high source of energy and rich in nourishment, bananas can be easily digested. This is why; bananas are suggested for everyday use as well; the only point of concern being that bananas have to be eaten in consideration with the kind of trouble. Raw and hard bananas with slightly greener peels are effective in hardening the stools and recommended for loose stools and diarrhoea. 

On the other hand, Ripe and softer bananas tend to act as a laxative for the body making it easier to pass the stools. Be careful of what you eat! However, if the problem persists do make sure that you consult a doctor!

A spoonful of Ghee or clarified butter of cow milk will relieve constipation and also lubricate the body.
